Engineers from the Indian laboratory of IBM are attempting to test the system for voice Internet access called Spoken Web, reported IDG News. This platform allows a connection to people who can not read and write and those who are completely deprived of access to standard Internet.
In the basis of Spoken Web technologies lie VoiceXML and HSTP (Hyper Speech Transfer Protocol), enabling the creation of analogue connectivity in networks. Using Spoken Web users can visit special voice sites each of them have a unique address.
As in standard history spoken pages contain links to other resources and other information. Working in such a network can be carried out either by using voice commands or a combination of telephone keys.
Currently IBM launches first Spoken Web projects jointly with Indian operators. For now from the blue giant did not communicate more information regarding the new service in the Asian country.
